Audio cuts off automatically during a call in Microsoft Teams

1] Close all other applications during the Teams call
Some applications running on your computer might conflict with the Teams app and cause audio to break or cut off. Therefore, we suggest you close all other applications opened on your system and run only the Teams app during the call. If closing all the applications does not fix the issue, try the next solutions.
2] Clear the Microsoft Teams Cache
Sometimes the issue occurs due to the corrupted cache. If this is the case with you, you can fix it by clearing the Microsoft Teams cache. The steps to clear the Microsoft Team cache are explained below. 1] First, close Microsoft Teams if you have opened it. 2] Open your System Tray and right-click on the Teams icon and select Quit. Now, open the Task Manager and End all the Teams processes. 3] Open File Explorer. Copy the following path and paste it into the File Explorer’s address bar. 4] Now, open the following folders and delete the files they contain. Skip the folders that are not available.
Open the Application cache folder. There you will find one more folder, named cache. Open it and delete all the files it contains.Open the blob_storage folder and delete all the files inside it.Delete all the files inside the databases folder.Delete all the files inside the GPUCache folder.Open the Cache folder and delete all the files inside it.Open the IndexedDB folder and delete the .db file inside it.Inside the Local Storage folder, delete all the files.Delete all the files inside the temp folder.
After deleting the files from the folders mentioned above, start the Microsoft Teams app and see if the issue is fixed or not.
3] Turn off the Automatically adjust the mic sensitivity option in Teams
If the issue still exists, turn off the Automatically adjust mic sensitivity option in Microsoft Teams Settings. The steps to do this are listed below:

4] Turn off your Antivirus Firewall temporarily
Disable Windows Defender Firewall or your Antivirus Firewall. Some users have stated that the issue was occurring due to the McAfee Endpoint Security software. According to them, a process named McAfee Firewall Business Object Hosting Server runs in the background causing High CPU usage, which might be the cause of the problem. 5] Update your microphone driver
Might be your microphone is not working properly due to corrupted or outdated drivers due to which you are experiencing this issue. Try to update your microphone driver from Windows Update Optional & Driver Updates. Alternatively, you may download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and install it. After updating your mic driver check the status of the issue.
6] Uninstall and install the latest version of the Microsoft Teams app
If you are using the outdated version of the Microsoft Teams app, you might experience some problems. Uninstall the Microsoft Teams app and download the latest version from the Microsoft official website. After downloading the installer file, run it to install the latest version of Teams on your system.
7] Restart your router or change your Internet connection
As explained earlier in this article, one possible cause of the problem is the poor or unstable internet connection. Microsoft Teams requires a particular bandwidth for audio and video calls. Microsoft has divided the bandwidth into three parts, namely, minimum, recommended, and best performance. Check if your ISP is providing you with these bandwidths or not. It will be beneficial for you if you replace your current router with a high bandwidth router. Wired connections are always more stable than wireless ones. How do you stop students from muting you in Teams?
In Microsoft Teams, only the presenter has the right to mute other participants in a meeting. A presenter simply has to right-click on the other participant’s name in the meeting and select the desired option. If you want to stop students from muting the other participants, you have to make them Attendees. When you make a student an Attendee, he/she will not see any option to mute or remove another participant from the meeting when he/she right-clicks on the participant’s name. You can do this in the following two ways: 1] During a meeting, select Show participants to view the list of all the participants present in the meeting. Hover over the participant’s name, whose role you want to change, and select More options. After that, select the Make an attendee option. If you want to make him/her the presenter again, follow the same process and select the Make a presenter option. 2] During a meeting, go to the Calendar and double-click the meeting. Select Meeting options. Click on the Who can present drop-down menu. By default, this option is set to Everyone. This means that every person who joins the meeting will get the right to present the meeting automatically.
